Say 'no' to getting a ride from strangers, kids told

Commenting on how students should react when being offered a ride from strangers – even if they had good intentions – SMU Dean of Students and Professor of Sociology Paulin Straughan said, "The sad truth is – it is not odd for adults to stop and offer assistance but because of our heightened awareness of security, we now perceive kind gestures as threats."
