Eddie TEO
Mr Eddie Teo has been appointed as Chairman of the Council of Presidential Advisers with effect from 2 January 2019.
He served in the public service from 1970 to 2008, holding various positions, including Director of Security & Intelligence Division, Director of Internal Security Department, Permanent Secretary (Defence), Permanent Secretary (Prime Minister’s Office), and High Commissioner of Singapore to Australia. He was Chairman of the Public Service Commission from 2008 to 2018.
He was a President’s Scholar and studied Philosophy, Politics & Economics at Balliol College in Oxford University. He also holds a Master of Science in International Relations from the London School of Economics & Political Science.
He has received several national awards, the last of which was The Order of Nila Utama (First Class) in 2017.
