In a commentary, Dr Brandon Koh, an Industrial-Organisational Psychologist and Lecturer at SUSS shared about a joint research together with SMU Associate Professor of Psychology Angela Leung, which found that providing hard facts rarely motivate social behaviours. He explained that people do not change their behaviours to become more environmentally friendly merely because of logical arguments, but were more willing to go green when it symbolised a benevolent act of caring for the human race
