
Statistics have shown that as compared to 2019, there are more people donating and helping people in need. During this pandemic, more people are willing to help and volunteer. SMU Professor of Sociology (Practice) and Director, Centre for Research on Successful Ageing (ROSA) Paulin Straughan said “Such acts have positive impact on the giver, we feel good and also a sense of control that we are not allowing the pandemic to take over.”
