SMU Dean of Students and Professor of Sociology (Practice) Paulin Straughan opined that one should not assume that migrant workers would be able to interpret the statistics on coronavirus as well as other relevant instructions. She added that while Singaporeans find the “circuit breaker” measures unbearable, so too will the migrant workers. Thus, it is important to show more care and concern for them so that they will not feel isolated.
