SMU Dean of Students and Professor of Sociology (Practice) of Sociology Paulin Tay Straughan commented on the free umbrella rental service which has been introduced by SBS Transit at Redhill and Harbourfront Bus Interchanges. She said, “For this structure to improve to the point where we can just grab and return without any identification needed, we each need to play our part when we see somebody abusing the use of these services. We should step up and maybe return on their behalf or encourage them to return, so that we can promote this self-care community.”
