‘The Backward Clock, Truth-Tracking and Safety’ a collaboration between SMU Associate Professor of Philsophy John N. Williams and NUS Associate Professor of Philsophy Neil Sinhababu appeared in the Journal of Philosophy 2015 112(1) 46–55. The paper presents an ingenious example in which at 4:30 pm, one looks at a clock that runs backwards between 4 pm and 5 pm. This example falsifies major analyses of knowledge, including that of Robert Nozick, Ernest Sosa and Duncan Pritchard. 2 students who have inspired Professor John and Professor Neil are also acknowledged in the paper!
