Writer-columnist Alfred A. Yuson wrote about some of his highlights in 2015, which included a series of invitations for trips out of town the whole year round, in relation to arts and culture. He recounted his experience catching a performance by Filipino musician Freddie Aguilar, when he attended the Lien Fung Colloquium at SMU, in April last year. He also shared that he was hosted by the colloquium organiser, SMU Wee Kim Wee Centre Director and Associate Professor of English Literature Kirpal Singh. Yuson returned to Singapore in September for the “Writers Talking Programme”, themed “Near and Far”, again hosted by SMU Wee Kim Wee Centre.
