Topic: Is It True If You Are Happy, You Can Do It? The Impact of Positive Mood on Executive Function

Abstract:

Mood is an enduring and stable subjective affective experience. Executive function is the processes required for the goal-directed regulation and conscious control of thought, emotion, and action. Positive mood has been widely observed to improve executive function by increasing attention span, working memory, flexibility, and impulse control; however, positive mood can also lead to poor executive function in some situations. The current talk will review what factors may moderate the impact of positive mood on executive function.
