Dear students,

In collaboration with the Office of Alumni Relations and as part of SMU Homecoming 2021, the School of Social Sciences would like to invite you to a seminar led by Assistant Professor of Public Policy, Ishani Mukherjee and SOSS alumni.

Leading and Navigating Transitions: The Public Sector

In 2020, a year of many challenges, the public sector was the top employer for our graduating students at the School of Social Sciences. Issues such as widespread public health crises and the growing threats from climate change, due to their sheer scale warrant a strong response of the public sector and its critical partnerships with society and industry. And the times that we are living through bear a strong witness to this. These times have also been a testament to the transitions that we have faced in our societies, our lives and certainly our careers.

This seminar brings together a panel of inspiring alumni from SOSS who have navigated professional transitions and journeys surrounding the public sector and are here to share stories about the paths they have embarked on professionally after their years at SMU.
