masterclass

In 2023, conversations about climate change in our lives and at the science-policy interface – as pathways to engagement and action – can get stuck. The masterclass session will first highlight what kinds of news-based climate communications work where, when, why, how, and under what conditions in interlocking communication ecosystems. We can focus on reporting in the United States and in Singapore as examples. Next, we will explore creative climate communications, focusing on comedic approaches to climate communications as one example of varied and interdisciplinary endeavors. Overall, in this session we will work through climate communication at multiple scales in order to more effectively influence attitudinal and behavioral changes.
