Graduating Class of 2024
Majoring in Psychology and OBHR

Please tell us more about yourself.

Hi! My name is Chloe, and I’m a Year 3 Psychology and OBHR major. In my free time, I love chilling by the beach and playing all kinds of sports.

What made you choose to do a degree in Social Sciences and why choose to do it in SMU?

I’ve always been interested in Psychology and Political Science, and I was immediately drawn to the PPS curriculum. I like that SMU has a more interactive style of teaching, which allows more engagement and interaction and kept me interested in every module. The emphasis on global exposure is also exciting, as being able to travel and experience different cultures in university is a priority for me.

What are some of the opportunities you have been given in SOSS/SMU?

In SMU, I’ve been lucky enough to be elected Vice President of SOSCIETY, SMU Social Sciences’ student constituent body, and this has given me opportunities to oversee events for the school with the student body’s best interests in mind. Seeing our events come to fruition and students enjoying themselves has been a rewarding journey. I have also been given the opportunity to TA for modules, which involves getting up and close with the behind-the-scenes of my favourite mods, and get to know my professors better.
